Well I saw this photo on another site and just had to go for it!

I had a project body all ready to go. Not sure who made the resin panel truck top for this as I picked it up at the last show as an unfinished project. (Thanks Kevin!)

Clearly others have been chopping and converting Kinsmart die cast models though.

With the nice weather last night I went for a first coat of paint!

The lower body came out great in red but the resin top didn’t like the Krylon and ended up a blotchy mess!

It went into the Superclean bath over night and is now ready for some primer! Then repaint with Krylon off white. Need to go buy some primer first though.

I knew this project was going too well…
