Schedule:
- Doors Open @ 5pm
- Green Flag @ 7pm
- Classes will be raced in the order listed above
- Checkered Flag @ approximately 10pm
Format:
- Every builder registered may enter two scratch eligible models per class – no need to supply details of your models – just register if you would like to attend
- 3 minute heats (180 seconds) x 3
- 4 marshals for every heat (if numbers permit)
- Race to line result will determine finishing order
- Final race results will be posted with reference to model (not builder) and accompanying photographs
Class Rules
1950’s Grand Prix (50GP):
- Eligible Models: Any hard body model with a scratch built body or chassis (preferably both) provided the model represents a Grand Prix car which competed between 1950 and 1960, typically with engines in front of the driver
- Low Power Motor: BWA BWNC1, Ninco NC1, Ninco NC8, BWA BWMS050 or Vanski FF050
- Rear Tires: DArt Club Series (SC0120 Urethane Tires recommended)
- Front Tires: DArt Club Series (SC0120F Urethane Tires recommended)
- Wheels – detail must be period correct and resemble original car
- Overall maximum width of 50.8mm
1960’s 1.5L Grand Prix (15LGP):
- Eligible Models: Any hard body model with a scratch built body or chassis (preferably both) provided the model represents a Grand Prix car which competed between 1960 and 1965
- Low Power Motor: BWA BWMS050
- Rear Tires: DArt Club Series (SC0118 Urethane Tires recommended)
- Front Tires: DArt Club Series (SC0118F Urethane Tires recommended)
- Wheels – detail must be period correct and resemble original car
- Overall maximum width of 50.8mm
1960’s 3.0L Grand Prix (3LGP):
- Eligible Models: Any hard body model with a scratch built body or chassis (preferably both) provided the model represents a 3.0L Grand Prix car which competed from 1966 through 1969
- Motor: Stock Scalextric FF050 (slim can) as provided in current releases of Scalextric brand cars
- Rear Tires: DArt Club Series (CX0202 or RM0203 Urethane Tires recommended)
- Front Tires: DArt Club Series (CX0201 or RM0202 Urethane Tires recommended)
- Wheels – detail must be period correct and resemble original car
- Overall maximum width of 60mm
1970’s Grand Prix (70GP):
- Eligible Models: Any hard body model with a scratch built body or chassis (preferably both) provided the model represents a Grand Prix car which competed from 1970 through 1980
- Motor: Stock Scalextric FF050 (slim can) or Stock Fly/Flyslot FF050 (slim can) as provided in current releases of Scalextric and Fly/Flyslot brand cars
- Rear Tires: DArt Club Series (FL0101 or SC0106 Urethane Tires recommended)
- Front Tires: DArt Club Series (RM0202 Urethane Tires recommended)
- Wheels – detail must be period correct and resemble original car
- Maximum overall width is 68.5mm
New Models:
- New models that participate in any class as either primary or backup will be added to our model gallery;
- New models that participate in any class as either primary or backup will be added to our model database provided I receive particulars of the model via email.
