The 7th edition of the Internationale Meisterschaft would see new models in Sportscars (SP & SP+) and CANAM. Several, including Phil Hill in separate Ferrari 290MMs the Jaguar XK120 of the late S. Diaz and Jim Oldershaw in a Brumos Porsche 917/10 would take to the track each for the first time.

Others returned with larger displacement motors, including Hawthorne, Hill and Herrmann. And then there was the obstreperous SCCA entry… All in all 22 scratch eligible models competed with the styles of their builders in full view…
